Description
An impressionist image of Mount Rainier in Washington State. Rainier is actually a volcano (technically a stratovolcano) in the Cascades located near Seattle. The mountain was given its name by George Vancouver, an English navy officer who explored the Pacific Northwest, after his friend Rear Admiral Peter Rainier. It is one of the biggest, most visited tourist attractions in the state of Washington. This image depicts it above above a crystal lake.
